The anti-corruption court will consider the case of grain theft worth UAH 4.4 million
The anti-corruption court scheduled a hearing in the case of grain theft by NAAS officials
The Higher Anti-Corruption Court (HASC) has scheduled a hearing for September 10 in the case against the former director of the state enterprise "Experimental Farm "Nectar" of the National Research Center "Institute of Beekeeping named after Prokopovich" of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences Mykola Shamra and the ex-owner of "PAF Garant" LLC Kurban Kurbanov in seizing grain worth 4.4 million UAH.
"To appoint a preliminary court hearing in the criminal proceedings on the charge (Kurbana Kurbanov - ed.) of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Art. 27 part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, (Mykola Shamra – editor.) in the commission of a criminal offense provided for in Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, at 10:00 a.m. on September 10, 2024, in the premises of the VACS," reads the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court on September 4.
Mykola Shamro is a member of the EBK database.
We will remind, VAKS imposed preventive measures on Kurbanov in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 4.54 million. NABU and SAP prosecutors emphasize that in the period from September to October 2019, the specified persons took possession of the corn and sunflower crops, which were the property of the state-owned enterprise. For this purpose, the director of the state-owned enterprise hid the real volume of harvested grain and signed the goods and transport invoices for an impressively understated amount.
In this way, the private enterprise received an unaccounted 850 tons of corn and sunflower worth more than 4.4 million hryvnias for free and without reason.
