The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left the oligarch Kostyantyn Zhevago under arrest in absentia in the case of providing an illegal benefit to the former chairman, judge of the Supreme Court Vsevolod Knyazev.

Leave the appeal unsatisfied. The ruling of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court of July 10, 2024 on the selection of Konstantin Zhevago as a preventive measure in the form of detention in criminal proceedings shall be left unchanged.

HACC has started consideration of the case of Supreme Court judge Vsevolod Knyazev. According to the indictment, Knyazev received $1.8 million in illegal benefits through the intermediary-lawyer Oleg Goretsky. The Ukrainian oligarch Kostyantyn Zhevago provided the most unlawful benefit for the Supreme Court's decision in his favor regarding his purchase of 40.19% of the shares of the Poltava Mining and Processing Plant.
