MP Kormyshkina's husband charged with property laundering image

Law enforcement officers have informed the husband of a people's deputy about suspicion of legalizing illegal property. He faces imprisonment.

RBC-Ukraine sources reported that this is Yuri Kormyshkin, who is the husband of Irina Kormyshkina.

NABU and SAPO informed the husband of the current People's Deputy of Ukraine about suspicion of legalization of property that his wife acquired illegally, as well as failure to declare such property

- the Bureau stated.

According to the investigation, in 2021-2022, the People's Deputy acquired funds worth over 20 million hryvnias, which significantly exceeded her legal income.

Later, she allegedly loaned them to her husband, who used them to purchase a home in the Odessa region, where the couple currently lives.

In addition, law enforcement officers noted that neither the MP nor her husband indicated data about the aforementioned house and two land plots that they used in their 2023 declaration.

Kormyshkin's actions are currently classified under Part 2 of Article 209 and Part 2 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, according to which, if proven guilty, he faces imprisonment for a term of up to eight years.
