The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) have informed the former acting head of the Main Directorate of the State Geocadastre in the Zhytomyr region of suspicion of abuse of office, which caused losses in the amount of over 54 million hryvnias.

NABU detectives, in agreement with the SAP prosecutor, informed the former acting of the head of the Main Department of the State Geocadastre in the Zhytomyr region on suspicion of abuse of official position and causing millions of losses to an agricultural enterprise. Qualification of the suspect's actions: Part 2 of Art. 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine

The details of the investigation show that in 2021, the official, contrary to the current legislation and numerous court decisions, which confirmed the right of the agricultural enterprise to use land plots with a total area of ​​almost 5 thousand hectares, terminated this right and canceled the registration of the relevant state acts.

Despite court decisions in favor of the agricultural enterprise, the official tried to transfer these land plots to another person under the guise of farming. Such actions led to the assignment of losses to a private enterprise in the amount of more than 54 million hryvnias.

We previously reported that an official in Khmelnytskyi Region demanded a bribe of UAH 65,000 from an entrepreneur for winning the tender . The official was notified of suspicion for having started under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official).

"EBC" also wrote that VAKS extended until December 1 the period of validity of duties imposed on Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi, who is suspected of embezzlement in the amount of 62.5 million hryvnias.
