The embezzlement of UAH 36 million by the management of the Kharkiv Aviation Plant
The higher anti-corruption court scheduled a hearing on the merits of the case on the charge of the former first deputy general director of the Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise Ihor Suntsov of embezzling over UAH 36 million.
Ihor Suntsov is a member of the EBK base.
The higher anti-corruption court took Suntsov into custody in absentia. According to the investigation, from May 2013 to January 2015, the first deputy general director, abusing his official position, transferred company funds to the Scottish offshore Portvilla Trading LP for the provision of agency services for the sale of military goods abroad.
The Ukrainian company did not receive any services from another business entity. As a result, damage was caused to the State Administrative Court, amounting to almost UAH 30 million.
In October 2014, Igor Suntsov, continuing the actions aimed at seizing the funds of the state-owned enterprise and acting together with his acquaintance, signed a contract with the same company for the supply of two aviation systems to the plant and ensured that the state-owned enterprise transferred an advance payment in the amount of 472,000 dollars. (over UAH 6 million at that time). However, it was established that the persons took possession of the specified funds, and to hide these criminal actions, an additional agreement was subsequently signed to the contract about the impossibility of supplying the systems in the previously agreed terms.
On August 27, 2021, the High Anti-Corruption Court took Ihor Suntsov, the former first deputy general director of the Kharkiv State Aviation Production Enterprise, into custody in absentia.
