Former head of the Ternopil regional council Mykhailo Holovko received another suspicion from the NABU and SAPO. He is suspected of failing to declare property worth over UAH 2 million. In particular, this concerns an apartment with an area of over 200 m2, which belongs to his mother, but he lived there with his family. This property is located in the Novy Svit microdistrict of Ternopil near the city lake.

The NABU and SAPO employees reported the suspicion to the former head of the regional council and people's deputy of the 7th and 8th convocations Mykhailo Holovko on February 21. In particular, according to NABU, the suspect, while holding the position of head of the Ternopil regional council, did not indicate an apartment with an area of 201.9 m2 in his declarations for 2022-2023. This property belongs to his mother, but Mykhailo Holovko lived in this house with all family members.

In addition, in the declaration for 2022, the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council did not enter information about money in the bank account, as well as non-residential premises, namely a parking space, a car wash, and a storage room, which belong to his family members, the SAPO added.

Mykhailo Holovka was charged under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Declaration of false information). He faces a fine of up to UAH 56,000 or 240 hours of community service or restriction of liberty for a term of up to two years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years.

We would like to add that the High Anti-Corruption Court is currently considering a criminal case against Mykhailo Holovko for bribery. The investigation suspects that Holovko, together with two former deputies of the Ternopil OVA, extorted UAH 1.8 million from the owner of a private enterprise. The official received UAH 600,000 of this amount.

We also note that in the fall of 2023, the police inspected the apartment where the Golovko family lives. Law enforcement officers discovered that several different rooms had been built on the roof above the two semi-detached apartments. One has a gym, and the other has a generator. Mykhailo Golovko noted in a comment to ZAXID.NET that his family had already bought the apartment with such a project and they had the appropriate permits. In the spring of 2024, the former head of the Ternopil Regional Council was ordered to dismantle this superstructure on the roof of the high-rise building.

It was previously reported that the former head of Ukrspetsexport bought a villa and a winery in France.

We also wrote that People's Deputy Kormyshkina wrote a statement about resigning her mandate.
