The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported the suspicion of a retired judge in inciting a person to provide an improper benefit, as well as in preparing to provide this benefit to a judge of a local administrative court.

On the instructions of the head of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, the SAPO prosecutor, with the participation of NABU detectives, informed the (currently) retired judge of suspicion of inciting a person to provide an unlawful benefit, as well as in preparation for providing an unlawful benefit to a judge of one of the local administrative courts for the adoption of a court decision in favor of this person.

According to the investigation, the judge (currently a retired judge) suggested to the businessman to solve his problems with crossing the border and return the seized passports by filing a lawsuit and obtaining the necessary decision from the local administrative court.

For the resolution of this issue, the businessman was to provide an undue benefit to the judge who would consider this claim, in the amount of 10,000 unspecified monetary units for the court decision and another 5,000 unspecified monetary units for his request for immediate enforcement.

Today, the judge's actions are qualified under Part 4 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 369, Part 1 of Article 14, Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Previously, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office exposed an organized group of judges who helped conscripted men illegally travel abroad and receive deferments from mobilization.
