Poland extradited to Ukraine the former director of the company "West Pride" Oleksandr Radek, who is suspected of aiding in the attempt to seize the property of the state enterprise "National Cinematheque of Ukraine", the value of which is almost 42 million hryvnias. NABU and SAP confirmed that the real estate was returned to the state.

This was reported by the press services of NABU and SAP, without naming the person involved. However, according to the information of the publication "Word and Deed", we are talking about Radek, who was declared wanted in February 2023.

According to the data of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, on September 24, the High Anti-Corruption Court took the ex-head of "West Pride" into custody with the possibility of bail in the amount of 10 million hryvnias.

Earlier, NABU and SAP reported suspicions to seven more participants in this case, including the former Deputy Minister of Culture Tamara Mazar. The investigation claims that from 2016 to 2019, a criminal scheme was organized to illegally appropriate the property of the "National Cinematheque of Ukraine" under the guise of its rehabilitation. Officials of the Ministry of Culture were involved in the scheme, who agreed to the plan and secured the victory at the auction of the company "West Pride", which purchased the objects at a significantly reduced cost.

The materials collected during the investigation made it possible to cancel the results of the auction through the Commercial Court of the city of Kyiv. The Supreme Court confirmed the legality of this decision, which allowed the state to return illegally sold real estate.
