The family of the head of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI), which investigates crimes by law enforcement officers and judges, bought a house near Kyiv, the real value of which may reach 14.5 million hryvnias. However, in his declaration, the official indicated three times less value of this property.

As reported in the investigation of Slidstva.Info, it is about the official of the State Bureau of Investigation Oleksandr Govorushchak. According to journalists, Govorushchak's declaration states that his wife, Kateryna Govorushchak, who also works at the State Security Bureau, bought a house with an area of 165 square meters in Petropavlivska Borshchagivka for 1.45 million hryvnias, and a plot of land for 3 million hryvnias. The total cost of the purchase was 4.5 million hryvnias.

However, according to the research of journalists, the real value of this house is much higher. They found an ad for sale of a similar house next to the Hovorushkas' residence, the price of which is $350,000, or about 14.5 million hryvnias. Also, the designer, who assessed possible repairs in the house, noted that it could cost approximately 210,000 dollars (about 8.5 million hryvnias).

The developer, who is building neighboring houses, confirmed that the real market value of such a plot of land is about 6 million hryvnias. Thus, the total cost of the house and land could be 14.5 million hryvnias.

The journalists also learned from the neighbors that the Hovorushka family moved to a new house about a month ago. Oleksandr Govorushchak refused to comment to journalists on how much housing actually costs, saying that "everything that is needed is in the declaration."
