Bribes for tractor driver licenses: officials and lecturer suspected
A former and chief employee of the State Production and Consumer Service, as well as a teacher at a state university from the Dnipropetrovsk region, is suspected of extorting bribes for successfully passing exams to obtain tractor driver licenses.
This is stated on the website of the regional prosecutor's office.
According to the investigation, the suspects sought out interested people, after which the teacher conducted specialized group training. Upon completion of the course, the suspects demanded bribes for guaranteed passing of the exam, which effectively undermined the legality in the field of training specialists for agricultural enterprises.
During 2024–2025, it was documented that the suspects "helped" 59 citizens obtain certificates, for which they received an illegal benefit in the amount of almost 300 thousand hryvnias. In July of this year, the suspects were exposed during the distribution of funds among accomplices
As of December 25, a change in the previously reported suspicion was reported to three defendants under Part 3 of Article 28 and Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The maximum punishment they may face is up to 10 years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
