Parliament committee backed dismissal of Minister Galushchenko

The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on Legal Policy has decided to submit to the parliament the issue of the resignation of the Minister of Justice Herman Galushchenko.
This was reported by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada.
It is noted that on November 12, the Verkhovna Rada received a proposal from the Prime Minister to dismiss the minister, as well as a personal statement from Galushchenko about his resignation.
Submit the issue of the resignation of the Minister of Justice Herman Halushchenko for consideration by the Verkhovna Rada – the Committee on Legal Policy adopted a corresponding decision
It is expected that the Verkhovna Rada will soon vote to dismiss Galushchenko from the position of Minister of Justice.
We previously reported that on November 12, the government held an extraordinary meeting. As a result, a decision was made to remove Herman Galushchenko from the duties of Minister of Justice.
On the morning of November 10, NABU and SAPO conducted searches at the residence of President Zelenskyy's former business partner and co-owner of the Kvartal 95 studio, Timur Mindich, as well as at the residence of Justice Minister Herman Galushchenko, who previously headed the Ministry of Energy.
Subsequently, the anti-corruption authorities reported on a large-scale operation in the energy sector. They said that the criminal organization had built a scheme to systematically obtain illegal benefits from counterparties of JSC NNEGC Energoatom in the amount of 10% to 15% of the value of contracts. The scheme involved, in particular, the former deputy head of the State Property Fund, who later became an advisor to the Minister of Energy, as well as a former law enforcement officer.
