Corruption in MSEC: 64 suspicions, 4106 fake certificates canceled image

In 2024, the Security Service of Ukraine exposed large-scale corruption schemes at MSEC, as a result of which 4,106 fictitious disability certificates were canceled, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Vasyl Malyuk, said.

The Security Service counters threats to national security, in particular those that undermine the state's defense capabilities. We already have the results and will continue to act decisively to prevent such shameful incidents

In 2024, 64 MSEC employees were suspected of committing crimes, and 9 people have already been convicted. In addition, 4,106 fictitious disability certificates, which were issued on the basis of forged documents, were cancelled.

The SSU also stopped the activities of eight organized criminal groups in different regions of the country. For example, in the Kharkiv region, a criminal group of 13 employees of the regional MSEC was exposed, who were selling fake medical certificates to remove them from military registration. During the searches, more than 650,000 dollars were seized from them.

Similar corruption schemes were also discovered in the Rivne, Mykolaiv and Zakarpattia regions.

In addition, the Security Service of Ukraine is currently investigating the illegal receipt of disability by individual officials. Almost 2,400 such persons are under investigation.

Earlier, "EBK" reported that the Ministry of Health canceled 74 decisions on the establishment of disability for conscripts in Khmelnytskyi region after checks initiated due to the scandal with the corruption scheme of the head of the regional MSEK Tetyana Krupa.

We will remind that Krupa, the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEK, was exposed in a corruption scheme , helping 50 prosecutors and their relatives to register their disabilities. 6 million dollars in cash were found in her apartment.

Tetyana Krupa is also a figurehead of the EBK base.
