The Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office announced suspicions against the director of one of the Voznesensk utility companies in extorting and receiving a bribe. The man was detained on January 30, 2025, in his office after receiving money.

This was reported by the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office.

According to the investigation, the suspect demanded and received $1,000 from a resident of Mykolaiv for the production of a technical passport for a real estate object.

The suspect faces five to ten years in prison with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years with confiscation of property.

The issue of imposing a preventive measure on the suspect and his removal from his position is being decided.
