The National Anti-Corruption Bureau has put businesswoman Tetyana Hlyniana on the wanted list, suspected of embezzling over UAH 733 million from food supplies for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The corresponding notice was published on the NABU website.

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine is looking for Hlyniana Tetyana Anatoliivna, suspected of committing criminal offenses under Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 5 of Art. 191, Part 5 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 5 of Art. 191, Part 3 of Art. 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine

– the document states.

NABU also summoned Hlyniana again for questioning, which is scheduled for April 23 and 25.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to a former official of the Ministry of Defense, the owner of a number of companies, heads of private companies, and an individual.

According to the investigation, during 2022–2023, the provision of food to the Armed Forces of Ukraine was carried out through the purchase of so-called kits. This provided for the possibility of ordering products according to the approved catalog, which included 409 items. The most commonly used, such as vegetables, cereals, meat, water, made up only 10% of the assortment. The rest, such as spices, gelatin or berries, were ordered rarely or never.

The price of the set was formed taking into account all the items in the catalog and was their average cost. This allowed suppliers to manipulate prices. As a result of such fraud, during August-December 2022, two supplier companies controlled by one owner illegally received excess profits in the amount of more than 733 million UAH, which was confirmed by the expert opinion.

Some of these funds were later withdrawn under the guise of dividend payments and repayment of financial assistance to related companies. This money could, in particular, have been used by the owner of the companies to purchase hotels in Croatia and other real estate.

We also wrote that the former chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' communications forces was granted bail in the "Dzvin" case.
