Supermodel Naomi Campbell and her charity organization Fashion for Relief found themselves at the center of a loud scandal. According to Page Six, Campbell was banned from managing charitable funds for five years following an investigation that revealed financial irregularities in her activities.

According to the investigation, the model spent the money, which was collected to help the needy, on her own needs, including luxury hotels, spa treatments and security.

The Charity Commission in England and Wales decided to remove Campbell from the trusteeship of charitable trusts for five years due to ineffective management of her organization.

Naomi Campbell founded Fashion for Relief in 2005 to help victims of Ebola, natural disasters and refugee children. However, the collected funds were mostly not used for their intended purpose. Only 8.5% of the collected funds for the period from April 2016 to July 2022 were directed to charitable purposes.

In addition to Campbell, sanctions were also imposed on her colleague Bianca Hellmich, who regularly received large sums in the form of unauthorized payments. Hellmich was banned from managing charitable funds for nine years.
