People's deputy Odarchenko, accused of bribery, has disappeared

People's deputy Odarchenko, who offered a bribe to Nayem, disappeared - SAP.

SAP suspects that Andriy Odarchenko, a People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" faction, accused of trying to bribe the leadership of the Ministry of Reconstruction, has fled abroad. The SAP initiated the collection of UAH 15 million of the pledge, which the deputy had previously made, from the state income, and the declaration of his wanted status.

On September 18, 2024, the People's Deputy of Ukraine of the 9th convocation, accused of providing an illegal benefit to the head of the State Agency for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure of Ukraine, did not appear before the High Anti-Corruption Court. The people's deputy did not inform the court or the prosecutor about the reasons for his non-appearance. The defenders of the accused were also unable to inform the court about the whereabouts of their client and emphasize the lack of contact with him. Taking this into account, the prosecutor in the court initiated the issue of collecting from the state revenue the bail, determined as a preventive measure of the people's deputy, imposing a monetary penalty on him, as well as declaring him wanted. The court made a decision to apply the pretext to the accused People's Deputy for the next court session, which is scheduled for September 19, 2024 at 08:00

On November 21, 2023, SAP and NABU informed about the suspicion of the current People's Deputy, who tried to bribe a top official of the State Recovery Agency. The actions of the people's deputy are qualified under Part 4 of Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

It has been established that a People's Deputy of Ukraine made an offer to a top official to give him an undue benefit for ensuring the adoption by the Interdepartmental Working Group of a decision on the allocation of funds from the fund for the elimination of the consequences of armed aggression for the repair of the buildings of the university in which the elected official continues to hold the position of rector (whose contract has been suspended). The proposed amount of undue benefit was supposed to be 8% of the amount of financing.

In the future, the suspect gave a top official - a person who occupies a particularly responsible position - a part of this illegal profit in the amount of 0.39 bitcoins, which at the time of the transaction was equivalent to 10 thousand US dollars.

On April 16, 2024, the indictment in the case was sent to the VAKS for review on the merits.

As of today, the consideration of the indictment is at the final stage - the interrogation of the accused is scheduled for September 18, 2024 at the court session.
