Zelensky was complained about corruption in ports

The public movement "Manifesto" calls on Zelenskyi to intervene in the situation that is developing in the ports of the Odesa region regarding the corruption pressure on shippers of sea cargo. "The stability of the export grain corridor is violated by BEB employees, who, under pretexts, seize the property of senders and block the shipment of ships," the statement reads.

Manifesto 42 emphasizes: "The delay and arrest takes place immediately after the grain is loaded onto the ship, so that the entrepreneurs are more 'complicit'." In order to avoid fines for simple vessels, they are forced to contact the rear security forces for the purpose of paying corruption tribute."

Currently, as stated in the statement, Manifesto has 42 applications for the detention by law enforcement officers of at least two vessels on suspicion of non-payment of taxes at the stage of grain sale and transportation.

At the same time, the BEB's conclusions about the alleged commission of a crime are based solely on assumptions, since neither the tax nor the customs authorities have any claims against the entrepreneurs in these cases. In particular, just now the Shulyavska-Capital company, due to the refusal to pay bribes, is suffering daily losses and is forced to release its cargo of grain from the groundless arrest through the court.

The public movement Manifesto 42 considers blocking the operation of the grain corridor for the purpose of corruption to be a violation of Article 42 of the Constitution of Ukraine, which guarantees the right to entrepreneurial activity. We call on the President of Ukraine, as the guarantor of the Constitution, to immediately understand the essence of the problem and contribute to its systematic solution. The stable operation of the grain corridor is a matter of national security. During the war, security forces have a place at the front, not in corruption schemes.
