Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the ex-ombudsman Denisova: the NAPC found signs of illegal enrichment

The National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption found signs of illegal enrichment and false declaration of over 42 million hryvnias in the former Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada. The National Police has initiated criminal proceedings, the NAPC reports on its Facebook page.

The National Police has initiated criminal proceedings," says the agency's post, which does not name the exposado, but taking into account the dates of the declarations "investigated" by the law enforcement officers, it refers to Lyudmila Denisova, who held the position of Human Rights Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada from March 15, 2018 to March 31, 2018. NAPC informs that, based on the results of full checks of declarations for 2022 and 2023, signs of illegal enrichment of almost 10 million hryvnias and signs of unreliable declarations of over 32.4 million hryvnias were found in the actions of the ex-ombudsman, who at the end of 2023 was a member of the board of the Pension Fund of Ukraine .

According to the results of the verification of the declaration for 2022, signs of unreliable information were found for more than 12.4 million hryvnias, of which 2.4 million were unrepresented information about the income, at the expense of which the declarant paid off the loan to the bank, and 10 million hryvnias, allegedly received from a loan from a third party. In the declaration for 2023, the specified financial obligation increased to 20 million hryvnias.

In addition, based on the results of a full inspection of the declaration for 2023, the NAZK also established signs of illegal enrichment in connection with the declarant's acquisition of monetary assets from unconfirmed sources to repay the loan to the bank, the amount of which exceeds her legal income by 9.9 million hryvnias.
