Investigation into MSEC Head Extended Until April

The higher anti-corruption court has extended until April 5, 2025 the term of the pre-trial investigation of the case on the suspicion of the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC, deputy of the Khmelnytskyi regional council Tetyana Krupa, in illegal enrichment.

Such a decision was made on November 28 by HACC investigative judge Lesya Fedorak.

The detective of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked the court to extend the investigation for up to six months, i.e. until April 5, 2025 inclusive. According to the prosecutor, a number of examinations have been scheduled in the case, which are ongoing and it is not known when they will be ready, and the investigation plans to send requests for international legal assistance. The defense objected to the motion.

We will remind, on October 4, employees of the State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) exposed the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC and her son for illegal enrichment.

During the searches, they found $6 million in cash, jewelry, and branded items. The woman tried to get rid of part of the money by throwing two bags with half a million dollars out the window. On October 5, the heads of MSEC in Khmelnytskyi region were informed about the suspicion.
