SAPO appeals refusal to arrest ex-MP Ivaniushchenko

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed a complaint against the decision of the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court to refuse to take into custody in absentia former People's Deputy from the Party of Regions Yuriy Ivanyushchenko in the case of the seizure of 18 hectares of state land under the Stolichny market for over UAH 160 million.
As is known, in March, the investigating judge of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine refused to arrest Ivanyushchenko in absentia. The prosecutor of the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine filed an appeal against this decision.
On March 23, 2026, the AC of the HACC received, sent on the same day via e-mail, the prosecutor's appeal against the ruling of the investigating judge dated March 19, 2026, which, as the appellant notes, refused to satisfy the motion to apply a preventive measure in the form of detention to (Ivanyushchenko - ed.). In the appeal, the prosecutor requests that the appealed ruling be annulled and a new one be issued, according to which the motion to apply a preventive measure in criminal proceedings should be satisfied - to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention for (Ivanyushchenko - ed.)
Earlier, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau put Ivanyushchenko on the wanted list because he is abroad. According to media sources, the former People's Deputy may be hiding in Russia or in the occupied territories. Therefore, NABU detectives asked the court to arrest Ivanyushchenko in absentia.
