The indictment against Sumy Regional Council deputies Volodymyr Potseluyev and Magomed-Sharip Galayev, who are accused of offering and providing a $100,000 bribe to the head of the city's military administration, has been submitted to the court, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported.
According to the pre-trial investigation, the deputies offered Oleksiy Drozdenko, the head of the Sumy СMA, 100,000 dollars for the merger of two medical institutions: Hospital No. 5 and St. Panteleimon, which would ensure an increase in funding.
Also, according to the SAP, a bribe was offered for the retention of a person who participated in the granting of an illegal benefit as the head of the united hospital.
In addition, the suspects appealed to the head of the CMA with a proposal to allocate almost UAH 59 million for the purchase of works and equipment for the hospital, overestimating the cost by 10-20%, which is about UAH 7 million. According to the investigation, the deputies planned to appropriate these funds.
