Court to Rule on Suspect Educators in Kropyvnytskyi

In Kropyvnytskyi, the head of the city education department and her subordinate, who are suspected of corruption and official forgery, have not been suspended from work. This decision must be made by the court.

"The Kropyvnytskyi City Council respects the principle of the rule of law and promotes a comprehensive, objective and impartial consideration of all issues related to the activities of local government bodies. The work of the Education Department and other structural divisions of the City Council continues as usual, and all measures are aimed at ensuring the stable functioning of the city's educational sector."

Given that the criminal investigation is ongoing, providing comments at this stage is premature, said Sergey Yakunin.

“It is important to ensure respect for the rights and legitimate interests of all participants in the process, avoid possible influence on the course of the investigation, and prevent the dissemination of unverified information.”

We remind you that it was previously reported that officials in Kropyvnytskyi are suspected of embezzling the budget.

According to the prosecutor's office spokeswoman Olesya Panchenko, investigators established that from October 2019 to June 2024, the suspects entered false information into official documents.

"In particular, they overstated the indicators of the achieved level of actual savings, illegally receiving three million 200 thousand hryvnias of budget money."
