Lviv region official to face trial for $4,000 bribe image

The first deputy head of one of the united territorial communities of the Lviv district will be tried in the Lviv region. According to the investigation, the official received a bribe of 4,000 US dollars from an entrepreneur.

This was reported by the press service of the SSU Office in Lviv region.

Investigators found that in September 2024, the official received $4,000 from an entrepreneur for resolving land issues:

“The suspect demanded a bribe from the businessman for resolving 'land issues'. And later helped in obtaining the 'necessary' decision at a session of the local government body regarding the division of the land plot.”

The official will be tried under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (receiving an unlawful benefit by an official occupying a responsible position, combined with extortion of unlawful benefit).

The sanction of the article is imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a term of up to three years and confiscation of property.
