In Ivano-Frankivsk, the director and chief accountant of a state-owned enterprise are suspected of corruption. They received a bribe for assisting in signing contracts and documents for agricultural work, the regional police website reports.

Investigators found that the corruption scheme was organized by the head of one of the state agricultural research stations together with the chief accountant.

The suspects, acting in accordance with a prior conspiracy, received an illegal benefit of $1,000. For this money, they easily issued documents to a private agricultural company for the performance of agricultural work. Without this, the contractor could not begin the relevant work on the land plot. In addition, the defendants signed the company's acceptance and transfer certificates of the completed work

The investigators qualified the actions of the director and chief accountant under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - obtaining an unlawful benefit by an official in a prior conspiracy by a group of people. The court chose a preventive measure - house arrest.
