The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has extended until November 16 the term of office of People's Deputy Mykola Zadorozhnyi, whom NABU and SAP suspect of extorting and organizing the receipt of illegal benefits.

On July 17, HACC imposed a preventive measure against People's Deputy Zadorozhnyi in the form of bail in the amount of 3.028 million hryvnias. In addition, the following duties were assigned to him: to arrive at the summons of investigators; to notify about a change of place of residence and work; not to leave the borders of Kyiv and Kyiv region without permission; deposit foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

The SAP prosecutor requested the extension of these duties, and the court granted this request, extending their validity until November 16.

Earlier NABU and SAP informed about the suspicion of People's Deputy Zadorozhnyi. According to the investigation, he demanded 14% of the amount of funds allocated for the repair of the water pipe in the village of Mala Pavlivka of the Komyshan rural community of the Okhtyr district of the Sumy region. Of these 14%, 10% were assigned to him personally, and 4% to local law enforcement officers, so that they would not interfere with the development of the allocated funds. According to investigative data, it is about 3.4 million hryvnias.

We will remind you that Mykola Zadorozhnyi is a member of the EBK base.

Earlier we also reported that the SBI exposed a deputy of the Khmelnytskyi City Council for illegal enrichment in the amount of more than 1.5 million dollars. Undeclared funds were discovered during searches of her offices and apartment, as well as in bank accounts opened in the suspect's name.
