HACC Extended Obligations for Two Defendants in Kubrakov Case

The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of Alla Sushon, the director of the state-owned enterprise "Ukrkomunobslugovuvannya", until February 6, 2025. The NABU and the SAPO accuse her of involvement in the case of an attempted bribery of former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov.
This decision was made by the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
As is known, the anti-corruption court has imposed a preventive measure on Sushon in the form of a 2 million UAH bail. She was also imposed the following obligations: to appear upon request; not to leave the territory of Ukraine without permission; to report a change in her place of residence and place of work; to hand over her foreign passports; to refrain from communicating with certain persons. The SAPO prosecutor requested that these obligations be extended again.
The prosecutor's motion to extend the term of the imposed duties is granted. The term of the duties stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine is extended until February 6, 2025 inclusive for the accused (Sushon - ed.).
The court also extended the term of the duties imposed on the second defendant, Oleg Tatarenko, until February 6. He has the same list of duties, but the travel restrictions apply to Kyiv and the Kyiv region. Recall, according to the investigation, during August-November 2023, Kopystyr, in collusion with the director of the state enterprise "Ukrkomunobslugovuvannya" Alla Sushon, made a proposal to provide an illegal benefit to Kubrakov for the benefit of his own company, LLC "Citygazservice".
The unlawful benefit should be 2% of the area of the residential complex, which will be built in the future on land in the Podilskyi district of Kyiv at 43 Tiraspolska Street. That is, the approximate size of the unlawful benefit in the form of real estate should be from 4,200 to 4,900 square meters.
This property was offered in exchange for Kubrakov not making any changes or terminating the contracts dated December 9, 2022, concluded between the State Enterprise “Ukrkomunobslugovuvannya” (under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Development) and LLC “Citygasservice”. On October 5, Kopystyrya, through an intermediary, provided updated data on the transfer of the unlawful benefit – the area of the property should be 5257.37 sq. m. In October-November, Kopystyrya provided part of the unlawful benefit to Kubrakov – he registered 15 apartments for Anton Hetman’s proxy.
Previously, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court did not allow the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavlo Kyrylenko, to go on a foreign business trip to Paris.
We also wrote that the Supreme Court of Ukraine convicted the defendants in the NAAS land case.
