HACC reduced bail for Nasirov in the case of "gas schemes"
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) decided to reduce the bail for the former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov from 31 million hryvnias to 27 million hryvnias in the case of abuses in the "gas schemes" of ex-People's Deputy Oleksandr Onishchenko.
Earlier, in 2019, the Shevchenkiv District Court of Kyiv reduced Nasirov's bail from 100 to 36 million hryvnias. In March 2022, VAKS again reduced the amount of the pledge to 31 million hryvnias. The defender of the ex-head of the Federal Security Service requested a further reduction of the bail to 18 million hryvnias, but the court granted this request only partially.
The request of the defense counsel to change the preventive measure (in terms of reducing the amount of bail) for the accused (Nasirov) to be partially granted. Change the preventive measure applied to the accused in the form of bail, the amount of which is determined by the decision of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court dated 17.03.2022, to a preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 27,000,000
We will remind you that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) referred Roman Nasirov's case to court in November 2017. Since then, prosecutors have read the indictment, which consists of 774 pages, at the insistence of the defense. After a long trial, in November 2019, prosecutors read a brief indictment.
Nasirov is accused of abuse of official position (Part 2 of Article 364) and official forgery (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code). According to the investigation, in 2015-2016, together with the director of the SFS department, he allowed Oleksandr Onyshchenko's companies not to pay rent for subsoil use, which resulted in losses to the state in the amount of more than 2 billion hryvnias.
