The higher anti-corruption court extended until October 5 the term of office of Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotskyi.

He is suspected of embezzling UAH 62.5 million.

As you know, the court imposed a preventive measure on Vysotsky in the form of a 4.99 million hryvnia bail with obligations, namely: to arrive at the first request; not to leave Ukraine without permission; to report a change of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with a number of people and hand over foreign passports. Later, his bail was reduced, but the list of duties remained unchanged. The SAP prosecutor asked them to continue.

Extend the suspect (Vysotsky - ed.) the period of validity of the duties imposed on him in connection with the application of a preventive measure in the form of bail for one month, i.e. until October 5, 2024, but within the period of the pre-trial investigation

- the decision states.

The court also extended until October 12, 2024 the term of office of the former Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksandr Hryban. He is obliged to: arrive at the first request; not to leave the territory of Ukraine without permission; to report a change of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with a number of people and hand over foreign passports.

Taras Vysotskyi and Oleksandr Hryban are involved in the EBK database.

Currently, Hryban holds the position of head of the department of energy generation and implementation of ESG standards at Ukrnafta PJSC.

It will be recalled that NABU and SAP reported the suspicion to Taras Vysotskyi, the first deputy minister of agricultural policy, and Oleksandr Hryban, the former deputy minister of economy. Vysotskyi is suspected of involvement in abuses in two purchases of macaroni in the form of humanitarian aid, which caused 62.5 million hryvnias in damages. Hryban is indicted for only one episode - for 33.7 million hryvnias in damages.

We also wrote that Natalya Maksimenko , the suspected deputy prosecutor of the Zaporizhzhia region , was released from the pre-trial detention center after a bail of 8 million hryvnias was paid for her.

According to the investigation, she demanded 40,000 dollars for solving the issue of changing the jurisdiction in criminal proceedings, canceling the seizure of property and avoiding prosecution under other articles of the criminal code.
