UAH 3 mln bail posted for MP Skorokhod
MP Anna Skorokhod was released on bail of three million 28 thousand hryvnias . She was released with an electronic monitoring bracelet.
This was reported by Suspilne with reference to lawyer Oleg Burgela.
According to him, the bail was paid by "third parties" on December 12 in the afternoon. He did not specify who exactly. Skorokhod herself previously stated in court that she did not have such money. The defense attorney clarified in a comment to Suspilny that the money paid was "not from the people's deputies."
The MP is currently in Kyiv with an electronic bracelet. Burgel's lawyer said that he has already appealed the restraining order: the defense is asking the court to reduce the bail amount and remove the control measure.
We understand that the bail will remain, because the pre-trial investigation is ongoing, but we will ask for its amount to be reduced. We also do not see the point in the electronic bracelet: as a People's Deputy, Skorokhod is not restricted in her movement around Ukraine.
