Zelensky: «We Fight Corruption and Hold Offenders Accountable»
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will continue the fight against those who want to profit from the war.
The head of state said this in a podcast with Lex Friedman, published by the Office of the President.
Friedman asked Zelenskyy to comment on allegations of corruption and misuse of international aid.
Responding, the head of state noted that Ukraine mainly received weapons, not money.
Where we saw risks, we slapped everyone on the hand. And it's not just about Ukraine. Along the way, there are certain people or companies who want to make money from the war. But we didn't make money, and if we found someone, we slapped them on the hand, and we will continue to do so.
We will remind, it was previously reported that the head of one of the communities of Rivne district allowed the felling of 800 pine trees for a bribe .
We also wrote that the SBU detained a tax official for taking a bribe of $20,000.
