The plot of the case: in November 2024, hromadske published an investigation "MSEC: The Latest Story of Luxury from Uzhhorod to the Dnieper", which, among other things, told about Natalia Abramenkova.
In particular, journalists found out that in 2019, her son Denis bought an apartment and a small room in the River Park residential complex in Dnipro. At that time, the guy was only 20 years old. Apartments of the same size in this complex cost about 3 million hryvnias.
That same year, the Abramenko family acquired two apartments in the elite residential complex "Grain" in Dnipro.
In May 2025, law enforcement officers announced that the former head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Medical and Social Expert Commission (MSEC) was suspected of declaring false information worth over 3 million hryvnias. The State Bureau of Investigation and the regional prosecutor's office reported this. The media found out that it was Natalia Abramenkova.
The official did not indicate in her 2023 tax return an apartment in an elite residential complex and a car belonging to her husband. She also did not declare her husband's income and his financial assets in bank accounts.
In addition, the State Bureau of Investigation established that the information about the official's assets stated in the declaration was not true. Thus, the total amount of undeclared property and money is over 3.2 million hryvnias.
The woman is suspected of declaring false information (Part 1, Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sanction of the article provides for up to two years of imprisonment.
The investigation is ongoing. In particular, law enforcement officers are checking the suspect's involvement in issuing fictitious disability certificates for military conscripts. Later, the court found the former acting director of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional MSEC, Natalya Abramenkova, guilty of entering false information into the declaration for 2023.
Instead of a real prison sentence, she received a fine of 51,000 UAH and a one-year ban on holding managerial positions in municipal medical institutions. But soon after her release from the MSEC, Abramenkova found herself in the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Hospital for War Veterans, within the same territory as the Mechnikov Hospital.
Persons potentially involved in corruption schemes: Abramenkova's possible accomplice may be her son Denis.

In addition, the husband of the former official declared a Hyundai Tucson worth UAH 853,000.

Abramenkova's income for the same year was 512,293 UAH, and her husband's was 646,098 UAH.
