Case story: in October 2020, NABU detectives, together with the SBU, exposed the director of one of the state-owned enterprises, who tried to bribe the head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration for 4.2 million hryvnias to resolve the issue of changing budget expenditures.
According to information, law enforcement officers detained the director of the enterprise "red-handed" immediately after he transferred the first part of the agreed amount, namely 200 thousand hryvnias of ill-gotten gains.
The director is currently detained under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The issue of informing him of suspicion under the preliminary legal qualification of Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.
In 2025, the HIgh Anti-Corruption Court suspended the consideration of the case on charges of the former head of the Highway Service in Vinnytsia Oblast, Ihor Alekseev, of providing an illegal benefit to the head of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, Serhiy Borzov. He is mobilized.
As indicated, on May 26, 2022, the court suspended the hearing of Alekseev's case due to mobilization. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that the hearing of the case be resumed. On October 31, 2025, the HACC received a response stating that Alekseev holds the position of commander of a road platoon of a road construction company of one of the military units. In the letter, he added that the accused cannot participate in the meetings.
The request of the SAPO prosecutor to resume the trial in the criminal proceedings on the charges (Alekseev – ed.) is denied.
