The plot of the case: law enforcement officers caught the head of one of the departments of the Main Directorate of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in Volyn region taking a bribe. The official demanded UAH 100,000 from the entrepreneur for a positive test result. This was reported by the press service of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection on Monday, April 20, 2026.
According to the investigation, the official offered business owners positive results of inspections in the field of metrology and market supervision. This includes, in particular, price control, product inspections, correct labeling, availability of certificates, and accuracy of weight and volume.
The suspect informed the businessman about the successful verification and hinted that the result should be “fixed”. In order not to receive the money personally, he suggested transferring it through an intermediary at a gas station. The amount was 100 thousand UAH for one certificate
The intermediary was detained at a gas station in the Lutsk district immediately after receiving part of the amount - 20 thousand UAH.
The head of the department was informed of suspicion of receiving illegal benefits (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose for him a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail in excess of UAH 120,000.
Law enforcement officers also seized his property worth over UAH 5 million – 13 land plots in the Volyn region and a Volkswagen car. The investigation is currently ongoing. Law enforcement officers are checking other possible episodes and the involvement of other officials. According to preliminary data, the total amount of bribes may reach several hundred thousand hryvnias.

Assets: in the 2025 declaration, Antonyuk indicated his wife's apartment in Lutsk, a residential building in the village of Vyshniv as the place of registration, a number of land plots in the Volyn region, an unfinished construction site in Boratyn, transport in ownership and use, his and his wife's salaries, income from land rental, and UAH 370,000 in cash.

Its owner is his wife Lyubov Antonyuk, the value on the date of acquisition of the right is UAH 67.2 thousand. Ivan Antonyuk, daughter Khrystyna and son Maksym have the right to use the apartment as a place of residence.
The declaration also lists a residential building in the village of Vyshniv, Kovel district, where Antonyuk is registered. The area of the house is not specified in the declaration, and Petro Ivanovich Antonyuk is listed as the owner.
