Case story: In February 2025, the Ivano-Frankivsk City Court sentenced Tetyana Biletska, the chief specialist of the legal and personnel department of the economic policy department of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council, for helping tax evaders to leave the country. The court imposed a fine of UAH 119,000 on her, along with confiscation of property.
As indicated in the case materials, during April-May 2024 she helped three men leave for Poland. Tetyana Biletska charged thousands of dollars for her services. The city official gave clients false conclusions from the Lysetsk hospital about the need for constant care for the evaders' relatives, supposedly due to illness.
In addition, she instructed them on how to speak to border guards when leaving Ukraine. In this way, two men left abroad, accompanying their mothers, who did not really need care, and one - his grandmother.
In court, Tetyana Biletska pleaded guilty and reached a plea agreement with the prosecutor. She asked the court to take into account the fact that she is supported by a husband with a disability group III and an elderly mother.
Taking into account the circumstances of the case, Judge Nataliya Derkach found Tetyana Biletska guilty under Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and imposed a fine of UAH 119,000 with confiscation of property. This verdict can be appealed.
