Case story: The Security Service of Ukraine detained the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces, who is the deputy chairman of the Central Military Medical Commission and is responsible for making decisions regarding the fitness of military personnel for service.
According to the SSU press service, during the full-scale war, the official accumulated unfounded assets worth over a million US dollars. The said property was not declared, but was registered in the name of his wife, daughter, sons, and third parties.
According to media reports, this is Oleg Druz.
The investigation established that during 2022–2024, the suspect purchased a private house in the Obukhiv district of the Kyiv region, two apartments in Kyiv, another apartment in Odessa, two land plots in the Obukhiv district, as well as a number of cars: a 2024 BMW X7, a 2022 BMW X7, a 2023 BMW X5, and a 2022 BMW X3. He also owns other property.
During the searches, SSU officers found 152 thousand US dollars and 34 thousand euros in cash on him.
The detainee was charged with: Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal enrichment) and Article 366-2 (declaring false information).
The court has chosen a preventive measure for the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Druz, in the form of detention for a period of 60 days. As an alternative, a bail of 49 million hryvnias was set for him.
During the court hearing, the lawyers tried to prove that their client's detention was illegal. They also stated that Druzy had been discharged from the intensive care unit and was in extremely serious condition — in particular, he was on IVs in the ambulance.
Despite the defense's arguments, the court granted the prosecution's motion and ordered the suspect to be remanded in custody.
On March 17, 2025, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure for the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Druz. He will remain in custody until at least April 21, with the possibility of posting bail in the amount of over 49 million hryvnias.

Statky: according to media reports, the declaration of the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleg Druzy, remains classified and has not been fully verified by the National Agency for Corruption Prevention.
This was announced by the head of the NACP, Viktor Pavlushyk.
According to him, the agency did not receive any requests from journalists or the public that could be grounds for a full review of the declaration. The NACP works on a risk-based approach, and the declaration of this official did not fall into the list of those with a high risk index.
Pavlushyk also emphasized that the cash, which has recently become the subject of public discussion in connection with the Druzya case, is not subject to monitoring by the agency unless declared: "Cash is not tracked. It cannot be detected by us unless it is included in the declaration. It is not tracked in any way."
At the same time, he confirmed that the declaration of the chief psychiatrist of the Armed Forces of Ukraine remains closed to the public. This is explained by the fact that some declarations of persons related to the performance of official duties related to state property or the defense sector may be closed at the request of the bodies in which these persons work or serve.
Persons who should have reacted: in the case of Druz, law enforcement officers reacted in a timely manner.
