Case story: On Tuesday, November 25, 2025, the SSU of Lviv region reported that a 60-year-old occupational pathologist, who provided assessment of patients' functioning to determine their disability group, demanded $2,000 from a conscript who previously worked at a state-owned coal industry enterprise.
For this money, she promised to contribute to the extension of group III disability and the issuance of maximum social benefits in connection with the loss of working capacity.
SBU operatives documented that the doctor actually set up a corruption mechanism, within which she traded influence on the conclusions of the specialized commission.
Law enforcement officers are also checking information about the possible involvement of the defendant in the illegal execution of medical documents to evade mobilization.
The perpetrator was caught red-handed at work immediately after receiving the entire amount of the illegal gain. During the investigation, medical documents containing evidence of the illegal activity were seized.
Officials reported suspicion of receiving unlawful benefit (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). According to ZAXID.NET, the detained person was Valentyna Fedevich, the head of the expert team for assessing the daily functioning of a person (EKOPFO) of the state non-profit enterprise "Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University".
Recall that after the liquidation of the MSEC in early 2025, expert teams for the assessment of the daily functioning of a person, or EKOPFO, began working in their place.

Assets: in 2024, Valentyna Fedevych declared the following real estate: an apartment in Lviv with an area of 133.2 m², acquired on 02/12/2001; a residential building in the village of Yasenka-Stecova with an area of 79.6 m², acquired on 10/27/2020; as well as land plots in Yasenka-Stecova, acquired on 10/27/2020, with an area of 10 m², 368 m², 2410 m², 1862 m², 1183 m², 1216 m², 1138 m², 762 m², 1098 m², 368 m² and 241 m² — all in her ownership.
Also in 2024, Valentyna Fedevich declared income from the KNP “Lviv Regional Clinical Hospital” in the form of a salary of UAH 244,885. In addition, Valentyna Fedevich declared monetary assets in the form of $60,000 in cash.
Persons who should have reacted: in the case of Fedevich, law enforcement officers reacted in a timely manner.
