Case story: at the end of May 2025, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported a lawyer's suspicion of inciting a citizen to provide an illegal benefit to a judge of one of the district courts of the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
According to media reports, this is Ruslan Fedyniak.
On May 30, 2025, on the instructions of the Deputy Prosecutor General - Head of the SAPO, the prosecutor reported suspicion to the lawyer, who was caught in incitement to provide an illegal benefit to a judge of one of the district courts of Ivano-Frankivsk region. The lawyer's actions were qualified under Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 4 of Art. 27, Part 3 of Art. 369, Part 3 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
According to the investigation, the lawyer promised the citizen $1,500 to resolve the issue with the judge about closing the administrative case on his commission of an offense under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (driving while intoxicated). However, in fact, he had no intention of transferring the money, but disposed of it at his own discretion.
Subsequently, the High Anti-Corruption Court applied a preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 242,240 with the assignment of duties to lawyer Ruslan Fedyniak.
The request for the application of a preventive measure in the form of bail is granted. To apply to the suspect (Fedynyak – ed.) a preventive measure in the form of bail - 80 times the subsistence minimum for able-bodied persons, which is UAH 242,240
He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave the Ivano-Frankivsk region without permission; to report any change of his place of residence; to refrain from communicating with witnesses; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.
In June 2025, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left unchanged the preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 242,240 with the imposition of duties, applied to lawyer Ruslan Fedynyak.
As is known, the anti-corruption court set bail at UAH 242,240 for lawyer Fedyniak. He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave the Ivano-Frankivsk region without permission; to report a change of residence; to refrain from communicating with witnesses; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet. The suspect himself filed an appeal against this decision.
