Case plot: in August 2025, NABU and SAPO exposed a corruption scheme with overpricing in state contracts for the purchase of drones and electronic warfare equipment. Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko responded to the revelation that National Guard servicemen were taking bribes. According to him, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an internal investigation, and those involved have been removed from their positions.
In addition, a new Department for Control over Service (Combat) Activities has been created in the National Guard. It will operate on the principle of internal security and should prevent abuse.
NABU noted that the operation was carried out thanks to Law No. 4560-IX, which simplified the work of anti-corruption bodies.
The court has chosen a preventive measure for Gaidai. According to the court decision, Gaidai will be in custody. At the same time, he was given the option of posting bail in the amount of 10 million hryvnias.

Assets: in his declaration, Serhiy Gaidai indicated that he uses an apartment in Kyiv, which belongs to Tetyana Babak, and rents an apartment in Uzhhorod, which is owned by Andriy Ugryumov.
The former head of the Mukachevo Regional State Administration owns a 2016 TOYOTA FJ CRUISER car worth 850 thousand hryvnias, as well as a 2024 motorcycle worth over 645 thousand hryvnias.
Last year, Gaidai received over 576,000 hryvnias in salary from the Mukachevo Regional State Administration. In his declaration, the man also indicated that he keeps 32,000 euros in cash.

The official declares a modest lifestyle: since 2008, he has been using an apartment in Kyiv owned by Tatyana Babak, and also rents an apartment in Uzhhorod owned by Andriy Ugryumov.
The man registered all the real estate in the name of his cohabitant Anastasia Sudovtsova, whom he did not indicate in the declaration.
She has two apartments registered in the capital in elite residential complexes - "Boulevard of Fountains" and "French Quarter", as well as one apartment on Mykhailo Dragomirov Street.
