Case story: On August 2, President Volodymyr Zelensky, after a report by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos and SAPO Head Oleksandr Klymenko, announced the exposure of a people's deputy, as well as heads of district and city administrations, and National Guard servicemen, in bribery. NABU and SAPO reported that they had exposed the current people's deputy, heads of district and city military civil administrations, and National Guard servicemen in bribery during the purchase of UAVs and electronic warfare equipment - the scheme consisted of concluding state contracts with supplier enterprises at knowingly inflated prices.

According to UP sources, among the individuals whom NABU and SAPO exposed in large-scale corruption are People's Deputy from the "Servant of the People" Oleksiy Kuznetsov, Head of the Mukachevo Regional State Administration and former Head of the Luhansk Regional Administrative Organization Serhiy Haiday, and Head of the Rubizhna Regional Administrative Organization of the Luhansk Region Andriy Yurchenko.

Later, it became known that the membership of People's Deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov in the "Servants of the People" faction would be suspended during the investigation into the corruption scheme in the procurement of UAVs and electronic warfare equipment, which was exposed by the NABU and the SAPO.

The High Anti-Corruption Court has chosen a preventive measure for People's Deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov, who is suspected of corruption in the procurement of drones and electronic warfare. The politician was taken into custody.

It is known that investigating judge Yevhen Kruk partially satisfied the NABU detective's request and sent the people's deputy to a pre-trial detention center.

At the same time, Kuznetsov will have the opportunity to post bail in the amount of 8 million hryvnias. In this case, he will be assigned a number of procedural obligations, in particular: to appear when summoned by a detective, prosecutor, or court; to report a change of residence/work; to surrender passports for travel abroad; and not to leave the territory of Kyiv and the region.

At the end of August, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court seized the property of People's Deputy Oleksiy Kuznetsov.

On August 2, NABU detectives searched People's Deputy Kuznetsov's Acura MDX car, as well as the apartment he uses. An iPhone 16 Pro mobile phone was seized from the car; cash in the amount of UAH 900,000, UAH 170,000, UAH 9,380, and UAH 6,900, etc. The following items were found in the apartment: an iPhone SE phone, an iPad mini 2021 tablet, and draft notes. The specified property was requested to be seized.

The motion of the NABU detective, approved by the Prosecutor General, to seize property in criminal proceedings is partially granted. To impose an arrest (with a prohibition on alienation, disposal and use) in order to ensure the preservation of material evidence on the property seized during the search of the Acura MDX car and on the property seized during the search of the apartment... To impose an arrest, by prohibiting the alienation and disposal of property, namely on 1/2 of the funds seized from (Kuznetsov) during the search of the Acura MDX car and 1/2 of the movable and immovable property
– the decision states.

Thus, the court imposed an arrest on UAH 993,140 in cash (UAH 900,000 of which was previously identified as ill-gotten gain); two iPhones; an iPad; an Acura MDX; a residential building; home ownership (share size 29/200); 1/2 share of another residential building; a land plot and two premises.

Persons potentially involved in corruption schemes: Head of the Mukachevo Regional State Administration and former Head of the Luhansk Regional Administrative Organization Serhiy Haiday and Head of the Rubizhna Regional Administrative Organization of the Luhansk Region Andriy Yurchenko.

Assets: A declaration posted on the NACP website states that Kuznetsov owns several plots of land and a household in Luhansk and Stanytsia Luhanska, and his family also has an apartment in Severodonetsk. All three settlements are currently under Russian occupation.

The People's Deputy rents a 103 square meter apartment, and his wife has a 999 square meter plot of land in the capital. The family is building a dacha there.

The official declared three cars, including an old Volkswagen Transporter and an Acura MDX from 2006 and 2008. In 2021, the MP nevertheless switched to a newer BMW G6X for more than 2 million hryvnias. By the way, the MP's wife Alina also works in parliament.

According to media reports, she is an assistant to another "servant" - Alexander Kabanov. It is noteworthy that she earned more than her husband last year. While Alexei Kuznetsov's salary in the Rada was almost 802 thousand hryvnias (almost 67 thousand per month), his wife earned 1.075 million hryvnias (89.5 thousand per month).

The couple also has $30,000 in cash and almost 200,000 hryvnias in various bank accounts. The official separately declared Jorg Hysek and Ulysse Nardin watches, but did not specify their value.
