Case story: Khmelnytskyi City District Court found medical service major Khrystyna Onofreychuk guilty of bribery. The accused and an accomplice demanded $5,000 from a patient for assistance in registering an unfitness for service. She was fined UAH 187,000 for the crime.
As stated in the verdict of March 16, in September 2023, the accused, who worked as a resident in the psychiatry clinic of the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital", entered into a conspiracy with a psychiatrist from one of the units in Khmelnytskyi. According to the investigation, the doctors offered the servicemen assistance in declaring them unfit for service due to their influence on the members of the military medical commission. For this, they demanded $5,000, of which $4,500 was to be received by Khrystyna Onofreychuk.
In October 2023, the accused's accomplice offered one of the soldiers money to help him pass the VLK. In December, he received the first part of the bribe - $3,200. He later handed this money to Khrystyna Onofreychuk during a meeting in a restaurant in the center of Khmelnytskyi.
