Assets: in the declaration for 2023, Taras Polienko indicated that he owns a plot of land in the Kyiv region, and indicated an apartment in the capital as his actual place of residence. Instead, his wife Antonina received two plots of land and a residential building.
According to the declaration, the official does not have his own car. However, Polienko and his wife indicated the right to use the Lexus LX 450D. It is interesting that the car belongs to "PRP Media Group" LLC, the owner of which is the official's wife. Antonina Polienko also declared a trailer.
Taras Polienko's income for the second year of the full-scale war was UAH 910,315, and her wife's - UAH 110,200.
Taras Polienko declared 110,000 hryvnias, 86,000 dollars in cash; on his bank accounts - UAH 586,434. At the same time, his wife declared a record 10,080,100 hryvnias in cash.
Scandals: in November 2024, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office initiated the confiscation of property worth almost UAH 8.7 million from relatives of the deputy head of the Kyiv National Police, Taras Polienko, according to the "Scheme" material.
It is noted that prosecutors took such a step after a journalistic investigation of the "Schemes" program. On the basis of the materials of the National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, they filed a lawsuit for the "recognition of unsubstantiated" assets to the HACC.
As established by the prosecutor's office, the result of the analysis of the income and expenses of Polienko and his family members testified that it was impossible to obtain property from legal income.
According to the investigation, the official's mother-in-law - Valentina Tkachenko - officially earned 100 hryvnias since 1998, and retired in 2014 and currently receives less than three thousand hryvnias a month. Her husband receives a similar pension.
However, a two-story penthouse and two parking spaces in a business-class residential complex in Kyiv were recorded on them. The policeman's wife claims that her mother earned money by selling flowers, the family also had a Volga, which was comparable in value to an apartment in the capital."
After the acquisition of these assets, they were used by the official and his family, and not by a relative, which, together with other data, indicates that she acquired them on the authority of the official
The NACP notes that after the investigation, Polienko's mother-in-law sold the apartments. In this regard, prosecutors are asking the court to recognize an apartment with an area of 220 square meters as "unsubstantiated assets". m. and parking spaces, income from the sale of apartments, and charge it all to the state treasury.
Subsequently, the Higher Anti-Corruption Court seized the real estate of Taras Polienko, Deputy Chief of the Main Department of the Kyiv National Police, as part of a civil suit for confiscation of property filed by the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

Subsequently, the HIgh Anti-Corruption Court scheduled a hearing on February 14 for the confiscation of the property of Taras Polienko, Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Kyiv.
As is known, the SAPO filed a lawsuit for civil confiscation of the assets of Polienko, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, namely: apartments in the Zarichny residential complex with a total area of 220.5 sq. m and two parking spaces with an area of 13.8 sq. m each with a total value of 3.67 million UAH, as well as income from their sale for almost 5 million UAH.
The prosecutor also requested to satisfy the application for securing the claim by imposing an arrest on this real estate, as well as on other assets of the defendants corresponding to their value. It was a land plot with an area of 0.12 hectares in the Brovarsky district of the Kyiv region and a residential building with a total area of 134.5 sq. m. The arrest of the property was imposed and preparations for considering the claim on the merits began.
To close the preparatory proceedings and schedule the case for trial on the merits in an open court session at the premises of the High Anti-Corruption Court on February 14, 2025 at 1:30 p.m.
At the end of November 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court confiscated two parking spaces and part of the income received from the sale of an apartment, which were registered to relatives of the Deputy Head of the Main Department of the National Police of Kyiv, Taras Polienko.
The press service of the Ukrainian Anti-Corruption Commission reported this, but did not specify the police officer's name. According to media reports, it was Polienko, whose assets were requested to be confiscated.

On November 19, the panel of judges of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the civil claim of the Administrative Court of Ukraine against the Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv and his relatives on the recognition of assets as unfounded and their recovery to the state income. The High Anti-Corruption Court recovered two parking spaces to the state income. As for the apartment in the capital with a total area of 220.5 sq. m, the Anti-Corruption Court recognized this asset as unfounded and decided to recover from the Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv the value of this property in the amount of UAH 3,672,929 and the income received from the sale of the apartment in the amount of UAH 4,972,571
Related persons: relatives of the official, in particular, the mother-in-law and her husband - they were the ones who registered the two-story penthouse and two parking spaces in the business-class residential complex.
Persons who should react: the National Police should first of all react to the corruption scandal by conducting an internal investigation and removing Polienko from his post.
