Status: at large, an inspection of the property of the former official, as well as his family members and close relatives, showed a discrepancy between the value of the acquired property and their legal income.
The plot of the case: in January 2026, the SAPO appealed to the High Anti-Corruption Court with a claim to recognize the assets of the former head of the Kremenchug RTCP as unfounded. This concerns an apartment, two cars, and cash worth over 4 million hryvnias. This was reported on the NACP website.
According to the SAPO, the lawsuit was prepared based on materials from the NACP and NABU. An inspection of the property of the former official, as well as members of his family and close relatives, showed a discrepancy between the value of the acquired property and their legal income.
This includes an apartment in a clubhouse in Kremenchuk, a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, the cost of a Toyota RAV-4 car along with the proceeds from its sale, and part of his savings. The total value of these assets exceeds 4 million hryvnias.
The SAPO notes that the property was acquired during 2022-2024, and confirmation of its legal origin could not be established. In this regard, the prosecutor asks the court to recognize the assets as unfounded and collect them as state revenue.
Persons potentially involved in corruption schemes: being identified.
Assets: In 2022 and 2023, Roman Sushko became the owner of two land plots with a total area of almost 15 thousand m² in the Pischanska community. Since February last year, he has owned a premises with an area of over 500 m².
Liliya Sushko has an apartment with a total area of 70 m² and land in the Kremenchuk community with an area of over 1 thousand m². The military man also owns an apartment with his relative Lyudmila Sushko and has land in Kremenchuk with an area of 600 m². In 2021, Liliya Sushko became the owner of a 2019 Nissan Qaushqai. As indicated in the declaration, the cost of the purchased car is 70 thousand hryvnias. For 9 months of work in 2023 as the head of the Kremenchuk TCP, Roman Sushko received 1 million 271 thousand 570 UAH. He also received a pension of 101 thousand 795 UAH. Roman Sushko holds 1.8 million UAH in cash.
We add that for 2022, the colonel indicated a salary of 624 thousand 440 UAH. In turn, Liliya Sushko, working in the Avtozavodsk district administration of the Kremenchuk city council, earned 226 thousand 471 UAH in 2022.
Persons who should have reacted: in the case of Sushko, the NACP reacted in a timely manner.
Scandals: There is no information in open sources about other scandals in which Sushko would appear.
