The plot of the case: police officers, together with the SSU, detained Bohdan Svystun, the head of the Murovanka village council near Lviv, for accepting a bribe. According to law enforcement officers, he received UAH 1 million from a businessman for assistance in resolving land issues.
According to ZAXID.NET sources in law enforcement agencies, the head of the Murovany village council, Bohdan Svystun, and his accomplice were detained for receiving a bribe of UAH 1 million for providing agricultural land located on the territory of the Murovany territorial community for use without concluding relevant documents and approving the decision of the session.
As the Lviv Region Prosecutor's Office later reported, the village council chairman and his proxy demanded and received UAH 1 million from an entrepreneur for the transfer of land plots with a total area of 135 hectares. Both were detained near the village council's administrative building after receiving the money.
The detainees are charged with extortion and receiving an illegal benefit in a particularly large amount by an official (Part 4, Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). It should be noted that 44-year-old Bohdan Svystun has been heading the Murovani community for almost five years - since January 2021.

Assets: in 2024, Svystun declared the following real estate: a land plot with an area of 800 m² in the village of Murovane, acquired on 05/15/2017, owner — wife Oksana Salyak; a land plot with an area of 800 m² in Murovane, acquired on 02/05/2020, owner — Bohdan Svystun; a residential building in Murovane with an area of 235.2 m², acquired on 10/08/2021 for 370,000 UAH, owner — Bohdan Svystun; a land plot with an area of 988 m² in Murovane, acquired on 11/03/2017, owner — Bohdan Svystun.
The following vehicles are also declared: agricultural machinery KhTZ-2511, 2003 model, purchased on September 23, 2003, owner - Bohdan Svystun; passenger car Opel Insignia 2014, purchased on February 6, 2024, worth UAH 286,710, owner - wife Oksana Salyak, and Bohdan Svystun uses it free of charge.
The following incomes were declared: from the Murovany Village Council - Bohdan Svystun's salary in the amount of UAH 1,042,507; from the Lviv District State Administration - Oksana Salyak's salary in the amount of UAH 203,619.
In addition, the following monetary assets were declared: Bohdan Svystun has UAH 645,000 in cash, USD 36,700 in cash and UAH 1,695 in an account with JSC CB “PrivatBank”; Oksana Salyak has USD 11,600 in cash.
Persons who should have reacted: in the case of Svistun, law enforcement officers reacted in a timely manner.
