The plot of the case: according to the investigation, in 2018, the former judge received a bribe from a company that appealed the decision of the Ministry of Ecology - the government agency canceled the company's license to conduct activities with hazardous waste. For 10 thousand dollars, Olena Vlasenkova promised to support the appeal of the decision.
The official was caught receiving money and was charged under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Vlasenkova was subsequently placed under arrest with the possibility of posting bail.
Subsequently, a preventive measure in the form of a bail of 140 thousand hryvnias was imposed on Olena Vlasenkova, a judge of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, suspected of receiving illegal benefits, on the second attempt.
The said decision was made by the Solomianskyi District Court of Kyiv on May 24, 2018. According to the lawyer, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested a bail of UAH 260,000.
On June 11, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court passed a verdict against former judge of the District Administrative Court of Kyiv Olena Vlasenkova, finding her guilty of accepting a bribe. This was reported by the press service of the High Anti-Corruption Court and the Anti-Corruption Center.
The HACC found her guilty of receiving unlawful benefit and sentenced her to 5 years and 6 months in prison with a 3-year disqualification from holding public office. The court also ordered the confiscation of all property owned by her.
Until the verdict comes into effect, the defendant will be under arrest with the possibility of posting bail.
