Case story : in August 2025, it became known that the State Bureau of Investigation had informed two officials of the State Service for the Supervision of Food and Consumer Protection of Ukraine — the head of the Main Department in the Vinnytsia region and the head of the Vinnytsia district department — of suspicion.
This was announced on the institution's Facebook page.
According to law enforcement officials, the officials wanted to receive money from a subordinate employee for the provision of official housing.
One of the employees of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection of Ukraine turned to the head of the regional department with a question about the possibility of obtaining official housing in Nemyriv. The head of the regional department discussed the issue with the head of the district department, after which the officials decided to cash in on the "help". They estimated their assistance in obtaining housing at 12 thousand US dollars. Half of the amount the employee had to pay at the beginning of the paperwork, the other half - after receiving the housing in ownership
Of course, neither the State Bureau of Investigation nor the Prosecutor General's Office traditionally has made public the names of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection officials. However, according to "We Vinnytsia Citizens", these are Andriy Yakymchuk, the former head of the Main Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in Vinnytsia Oblast, and Viktor Buravinsky, the head of the Vinnytsia District Department.
It is reported that the State Bureau of Investigation detained the head of the Vinnytsia District Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection after receiving part of the payment in the amount of 6 thousand US dollars.
The men were charged with receiving illegal benefits (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court chose a preventive measure of house arrest for the head of the Vinnytsia District Department of the State Service for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection. He was also removed from his position.
During searches at the residence of the head of the State Police, law enforcement officers discovered and seized the narcotic substance cocaine, the SBI report states. Therefore, he was additionally informed of suspicion of possession of narcotic substances (Part 1 of Article 309 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The articles are punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

The State Bureau of Investigation detained the head of the Vinnytsia District Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection after receiving part of the payment in the amount of 6 thousand US dollars.
Buravinsky was informed of suspicion of receiving illegal benefits (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
It is known that initially, on April 25, 2025, the investigating judge of the Pechersk District Court applied a preventive measure to Buravinsky in the form of 24-hour house arrest until June 23, 2025. Then, on July 21, 2025, it was changed to night house arrest until September 21. And on June 30, 2025, the Pechersk District Court removed Buravinsky from the position of head of the Vinnytsia District Department.
Assets: in the declaration upon dismissal, Yakymchuk indicated a land plot, three apartments and a residential building. Yakymchuk also indicated vehicles: TOYOTA CAMRY, Year of manufacture: 2004, Price: 130,000 UAH and TOYOTA CAMRY, Year of manufacture: 2011, Price: not specified. He also indicated 192,220 UAH of salary, 1,500,000 UAH in cash, while his wife has 34,000 USD in cash.
