The plot of the case: in January 2021, the director of the Lviv communal enterprise "Architectural and construction supervision" Natalia Yuzych was detained on suspicion of receiving a bribe.
According to law enforcement officials, the official demanded $500 for the legalization of arbitrarily reconstructed buildings in the center of Lviv. The police detained the head of the utility immediately after receiving the bribe.
Criminal proceedings were opened under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - receipt of illegal benefits by an official.
On January 22, the Galician District Court of Lviv ordered Nataliya Yuzych, director of LKP "Architectural and Construction Supervision", to a preventive measure in the form of round-the-clock house arrest for two months (until March 21, 2021). By this time, she was suspended from her post.
Persons potentially involved in the corruption scheme: from open sources it is not known about the alleged accomplices.
Assets: in the declaration for 2020, Yuzych listed several real estate objects at once, in particular: a garage, a country house, a residential building and two plots of land. In the same year, her husband declared a land plot, a residential building and two more land plots for rent.
Also in 2020, Yuzych declared one object of unfinished construction - a residential building.
In addition, in the declaration for 2020, the official owned two cars - TOYOTA LAND CRUSER PRADO (worth UAH 600,000) and MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER (worth UAH 150,000).
In the same year, Yuzych earned UAH 136,776. Her husband received UAH 61,750 in salary, UAH 949,796 in business income, and UAH 26,340 in pension.
Natalia Yuzych declared USD 18,000 and UAH 350,000 in cash, while only UAH 8,787 was indicated on her bank accounts. Instead, the official's husband indicated 910,000 UAH and 47,000 dollars in cash, 142,718 UAH were declared in his bank accounts.
But for 2021, Yuzych earned UAH 134,207. Instead, her husband received UAH 79,100 in salary, UAH 280,125 in business income, and UAH 28,359 in pension.
Persons who should have responded to corruption schemes: in the case of Yuzych, law enforcement officers responded in time to her criminal activities. However, she is still at large.
Scandals: before the emergence of the corruption scheme, Natalia Yuzych was not noticed as a figure in other scandals.
