HACC Appeals Upholds Sobol’s Suspicion image

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left unchanged the decision refusing to cancel the notice of suspicion issued to Alisa Sobol, the assistant to former Kyiv City Council deputy, businessman and lawyer Denys Komarnytskyi, in the context of the land scheme case in Kyiv.

As is known, the anti-corruption court refused to cancel Sobol's suspicion. Her defense attorney appealed the decision.

The appeal of the defense attorney shall be dismissed, and the ruling of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court of June 12, 2025 shall be left unchanged. The ruling shall enter into force from the moment of its promulgation, shall be final, and shall not be subject to appeal in cassation.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO have handed over suspicions to 10 individuals, including Komarnytsky, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration Petro Olenych, Head of the Kyiv City Council Standing Committee on Architecture, Urban Planning and Land Relations Mykhailo Terentyev, and member of this committee Olena Marchenko. According to the investigation, the government officials were engaged in illegal privatization of land for construction. In addition, they tried to take full control of the procedure for making decisions on granting land rights.
