Appeal Chamber upheld Bondar’s bail amount

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left unchanged the preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 100 million and the imposition of duties, applied to People's Deputy Viktor Bondar in the case of misappropriation of funds of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".

This was reported by the press service of the AC HACC, without specifying the name of the politician. According to media reports, this is Bondar, whom the court refused to arrest and released on bail of 100 million UAH . As of February 13, no one had paid the specified amount for the people's deputy . Therefore, NABU and SAPO will prepare a petition to change the preventive measure to a more severe one - detention.

The Appeals Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice of Ukraine considered the appeals of the defense and prosecution against the ruling of the investigating judge of the Supreme Court of Justice of Ukraine dated January 24, 2025 on the application of a preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 100 million to the People's Deputy of Ukraine. Based on the results of the consideration, the panel of judges of the Supreme Court of Justice of Ukraine dismissed the appeals of the parties, and the ruling of the investigating judge of the Supreme Court of Justice remained unchanged.
