Cherkasy Man Offered Border Guard €300
A resident of Cherkasy, who tried to illegally cross the state border by bribing a serviceman, was detained by border guards.
Information about the offense was passed on to the police, the press service of the Western Regional Department of the State Border Service of Ukraine - Western Border reported on Facebook.
The incident occurred at the Smilnytsia checkpoint on the border with Poland, the press service said: "A 55-year-old resident of Cherkasy region arrived to leave Ukraine, who did not have the necessary documents to cross the state border. After explaining the reasons for the refusal of the pass, the man tried to "solve the issue" in another way - he put 300 euros under the documents, hoping to influence the decision of the border guards."
According to the press service, the serviceman refused the illegal offer.
