Chernyshov confirms family and personal ties with Yermak and Mindich
Former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov said that former head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak is the "godfather" of his child, and businessman Timur Mindich is a friend, but he does not maintain contact with them.
He said this during a meeting of the Temporary Investigative Commission of the Verkhovna Rada on the investigation of possible violations of Ukrainian legislation in the field of defense, anti-corruption policy, and human rights during martial law.
Chernyshov said that he met Yermak during his appointment as head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration in late 2019 - early 2020. At the same time, he noted that the former head of the OPU did not interview him, as he did for the position of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of National Unity.

He also confirmed that Yermak is the "godfather" of his child. Chernyshov said that he is currently not in contact with the former head of the Presidential Office. The former minister also said that he is familiar with Mindich, and confirmed that he met him on vacation in Israel.

The former minister also spoke about the searches of his "home, work and other places." He stated that the only item that law enforcement officers seized and still have not returned was a book by Hryhoriy Skovoroda. Chernyshov also categorically denied any connection with the cases related to corruption at Energoatom and the Midas case. He stated that in this case he is "the only official who even the pre-trial investigation body does not consider a member of a criminal organization."

Earlier, the SAPO and NABU announced the completion of the investigation into the corruption case in the construction sector against the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, who previously held the position of Minister of Community and Territorial Development, and five other individuals. They are suspected of abuse of office and receiving illegal benefits.
